Make no mistake, at Velvet Apple you will be physically
challenged by their trainers but this is all part of the process
of showing you what you are capable of. Without challenges
and achievements you cannot reach your goals. Through
reaching your goals you build your confi dence, your self
esteem and your future. You will learn yoga, Pilates, tai chi
all of which strengthen your body but also teach your how
to breath correctly, how to concentrate and how to relax,
something many people do not know how to do.
I have often written how being outside is a perfect opportunity
for you to clear your mind and connect not only with the
nature around you but also to take the time to listen to
yourself and your own needs. Whilst going through the eco-
workout at Velvet Apple you will be helping not only yourself
but the wildlife around you.
One of the big avenues of help is the deep guided relaxation.
It is through pure relaxation that our body is able to heal.
It is a time for our body to identify any impurities and deal
with them. When we put ourselves, and therefore our body,
under constant stress it becomes impossible for your body to
operate correctly, for example, if you are under stress you will
not be digesting your food properly. If you are not digesting
your food properly no matter how well you are eating your
body is not getting the benefi ts and therefore ultimately, you
will suffer the same consequences as someone on a poor
diet. Learning to relax, correctly, is one of the most important
gifts you can give yourself. Stress is also one of the reasons
people turn to ‘comfort foods’ and therefore develop a
weight problem. So often, gaining control of your emotions
can have a huge effect on your weight, so when you sign up
for a management programme, ‘Be Happy, Be Slim’ you will
be focusing on controlling your stress levels.
There are no set times for these programmes you can be
signed up for 6 weeks, 6 months or more. It is all about
learning to listen to your body, once you have learnt this
you will have made the move towards a happy and healthier
future and the great thing is, you will not even really have to
think about it, it becomes instinctive.
