found myself selling my products, working at craft fairs and
upon the arrival of my own children, I took great delight in
designing and knitting them exclusives! (I have to say, once
they learnt to crawl the opportunity to knit with several balls
of wool at the same time became limited!)
It is a great skill to learn, and an even better one to pass onto
your children starting with the obvious scarf. For children it
teaches them both concentration but also that with patience
they can make something and watch it grow in front of them,
and Simply Wool attracted me because you can put faces to
the wool. Children love that, as do adults!
My advice is to start with something simple; use big knitting
needles and thicker yarn. The results are quicker and it
is very rewarding, and quickly you fi nd yourself tackling
complicated patterns, picture jumpers and even creating
your own designs.

the opportunity to either learn or simply to make something
they really want.
