The ultimate flotation experience
It’s the ultimate sensory relaxation device, the i-sopod. Floatation
therapy is based on the Restricted Environmental Stimulation
Therapy known as R.E.S.T. The i-sopod contains 1,000 litres of
water and 500 kg of Epsom salts, creating a solution so buoyant
that everyone floats effortlessly on the surface, no matter what
their size or weight. The water and air are heated to skin
temperature, 35.5C, so that once settled in you cannot tell
which parts of your body are in contact with the water, and with
gravity pushing down and the buoyancy pushing up in an equal
force, you find yourself in a simulated zero gravity environment.
You can try the i-sopod out at Floatworks in London.
