Greetings from
Wexford Opera House
As we continue to expand the range and frequency of events at Wexford
Opera House I’d like to thank you, our audience, for turning out in such
large numbers to support us. Many events have sold-out in the Spring
Programme. As Wexford Festival Opera time approaches I am reminded
that Wexford Opera House is not only a receiving house but also a
producing house. As well as rehearsals for Wexford Opera Festival in
September, when the building hosts artists from all over the world working
feverishly in anticipation of Festival opening, we are also supporting the
creation of new dance and youth theatre work, as well as commissioning
new musical theatre (that won’t bear fruit for another two years). I am
particularly pleased this quarter to welcome Castleward Opera with their
production of Die Fledermaus – a perfect complement to the fine weather
we expect this summer! If you want to be kept in the loop and be the
first to receive information on future events please sign up to our online
newsletter at www.wexforoperahouse.ie. If you haven’t done so already
please bring someone new along to visit us at Wexford Opera House or if
you are just visiting Wexford this summer, then welcome!
