The traditional weekday
lunchtime appointment
remains one of the defining
features of the Festival.
As usual, individual Festival singers will have a chance to shine in their own
piano-accompanied solo numbers, performed (sometimes with the help of
an instrument or two of their own) for a select audience in St Iberius Church.
Prepare for about fifty minutes of pre-prandial bliss.

Anúna
This year Wexford Festival
Opera welcomes one of the
most quintessentially Irish
acts on the current musical
scene. Formed in 1987 by
Dublin born composer Michael
McGlynn, Anúna perform
material spanning a thousand years of history.
Their name comes from the Irish An Uaithne, the collective name for the
three ancient types of Irish music: Suantraí (lullaby), Geantraí (happy song)
and Goltraí (lament).
