The Dorset Heritage
Museum is located at the
crossroads of Muskoka and
Haliburton in Ontario.
Features include exhibits
of pioneer life, traditional
logging practices,
transportation, home life
and photographs all
pertaining to the Dorset area. New for the 2009-2010 season are
two large wall murals, copies of the Group of Seven Artist Franz
Johnston, plus a scale model of the historic Gilmour Tramway.
All artifacts are donated by members of the community and are
displayed for your enjoyment and education.
Wed. to Sat. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (July 1st to Thanksgiving)
Guided tours welcome, off-season tours by appointment only.
Located at Hwy. 117 & 35, follow the ‘Museum signs’.
