DO Almansa lies 100km inland from Valencia and Alicante, east of Albacete. Bodegas Piqueras was founded in 1915 and
winemaker Juan Bonete now limits production to ensure eminent wines of distinction. The Castillo de Almansa Reserva is
made from 70 per-cent Tempranillo and 30 per-cent Monastrol grapes and matured in American oak casks for 12 months and
then 10 months in bottle. This wine shows wonderful dark cherry red colour, intense blackberry, spice and vanilla nose, very
full and rich wild berry fruit on the palate with vanilla undertones and has great depth and finish.

Bodegas Bonito Urbina
The bodega is situated in Cuzcurrita de Rio Tiron, on the north-western edge of Rioja. A family-owned estate consisting of
some 75ha of vineyards. Four generations of the family have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of their vineyards and
production of wine. In 1975 the bodega began to age and bottle their own wine in order to retain the special characteristics of a
small single estate. Their sole objective, the production of quality wines, has been achieved as the result of careful viticulture
using traditional techniques, harvesting by hand and avoiding the use of weed killers and pesticides.
