The way Terry Hinan sees it, it was practically a given he’d end
up working in the construction business one day.
During the mid 70s, Terry graduated from the construction-engi-
neering program at Niagara College. The twenty-something youngster
then took a job with Stewart and Hinan Contractors, where he worked
for seven years as an estimator and project manager.
“After working at Stewart-Hinan for seven years I ventured out on
my own and in 1983 I incorporated the Hinan name.”
Terry suggests that everything has sort of worked out the way it
was supposed to when it comes to his professional path.
“My family had a background in the construction industry and I
just kind of followed along,” he says with a chuckle.
Since that fateful day back in 1983, T.R. Hinan Contractors has
displayed a steady growth and is not showing any signs of slowing
down.
The St. Catharines, Ontario construction stalwart employs about
20 employees, including carpenters, labourers and many others and
counts their annual sales at around $30 million.
Hard work and dedication to the craft is what’s kept the company
in such an enviable position for so many years.
T.R. Hinan has been providing clients with exceptional construc-
tion values and expertise for over a quarter of a century and has earned
a reputation as a progressive and dependable company through hard
work and dedication to its clients.
Terry says his company takes pride in meeting the commercial, in-
stitutional, industrial and municipal construction needs of companies
and individuals throughout Southern Ontario.
The individuals behind the company are the key to the success that
a company enjoys and TR Hinan is no exception. “Everyone who
works at TR Hinan was selected for their skills and expertise as well
as their dependability and dedication to seeing every project com-
pleted successfully,” he says.
