Richard A. Mitchell died April 11. He
was a senior family preferred member who
joined the club in 1971.
Paul R. Vogt died April 12. He was a
senior preferred member who joined the club
in 1966.
Vogt was born in The Dalles in 1939. He
received a bachelor’s degree in accounting
from University of Iowa in 1962. After
graduation, he entered the U.S. Air Force as a
second lieutenant.
In 1966 Vogt attained his post-graduate
degree in accounting and finance studies at
University of Oregon. In 1966 he worked
with Erickson, Eiseman & Co., then worked
for IBM in Portland as a systems assistant.
He worked for Cummins Oregon Diesel as
assistant controller from 1969 to 1975. He
then opened his own CPA firm in Vancouver
and moved it to Portland; he maintained his
practice through 2008.
Survivors include his sister, Anne Bialous.
