Cocktail of the month
Summer is here, and that means once one customer sees someone order a Mojito, the
chances are your shift will be spent with a muddler in one hand and some mint in the other,
so why not look at some takes on the popular drink, starting with this St. Germain-infused
effort.
Ingredients
12 fresh mint leaves
2 shots white light rum
2 shots St.Germain
1 shot freshly-squeezed lime juice
Optional: Add simple syrup (to taste)
Method
Lightly muddle mint in glass.
Add other ingredients.
Half fill glass with crushed ice and stir.
Fill to the brim with more crushed ice and stir again.

A new range of wines has been released exclusively for the on-
trade by wholesaler Booker so the least OTS could do was try
them out to discover which of the eight-strong range was easiest
on the palate.
It’s been a while since we did a blind tasting, and once we’d
explained to the work-experience kid that he didn’t actually have
to wear a blindfold while tasting the wine we were off. Tasting
two red and two whites we found a preference for the Amatti
Italian Pinot Grigio, while on the red side it was victory for the
Hazeldene Bay Semillon Chardonnay from Australia. Plus snazzy
labels ensured the wines also had strong shelf presence.
