The first ever Eireman X, which took place
in Courtown, CoWexford, was a huge
success with over 100 participants.
A bit like a triathlon – but with a
hell of a lot more muck and splashing,
Eireman X saw competitors swim 750m
in open water in Courtown harbour,
mountain bike 20km off road and
through several rivers and run through
forests and up hills.
TrevorWoods won this innaugural
event in a time of 1:13:34 followed by Eric
Wolfe (1:17:49) and Adam Kelly (1:18:41).
The first women home were Kate
Meagher and Aoife O’Sullivan (1:43:49)
with Jackie Hudson in third (1:47:35).
