SMAd Matters on the Web
Keep Up to Date on Our Award-Winning Web Site
T
he award-winning SMAD Web site is a gateway to an array of SMAD news and information. There you’ll find short
features about the accomplishments and interesting activities of SMAD students, faculty and alums, as well as job and
internship postings.
There’s an Alumni Center where you can post a message about your current situation and find out what other alums are up
to. A separate Journalism Alumni link takes you to postings from SMAD grads with updates on their careers and families.
Alumni posts sometimes include information on available jobs, so check it out or post information on openings of which you
are aware.
The SMAD site offers a large collection of student video projects for viewing, many of them award-winners.
There’s a link for those who want to contribute to SMAD and information for students on scholarships, some of which are
the result of alumni contributions.
If your daughter, son or someone you know is considering the SMAD program, there is information on tours and
information sessions, as well as a description of all the concentrations, the faculty and the advanced facilities we offer.
The SMAD Web site reflects the high standards of the program. Designed by SMAD director Steve Anderson, the site earned
top honors in a nationwide contest for department Web sites sponsored by the Association for Education in Journalism and
Mass Communication.
