“His generosity knew few bounds; he
presented the University with a barrier and a
pressure system to continue to work on our
research. He took time to visit High Wycombe to
open our Mojo Barriers Education and Training
Centre and just two weeks before he died, Jim
Gaffney presented the first of a series of new
courses in the facility looking at signing of safe
barriers.
“Patrick was one of the good guys and my
favourite encounters were many including the
day that he received his Doctorate and having
the pleasure of seeing the real Patrick outside of
work. I am only glad that I had the opportunity
to meet such a great man. I will always
remember his kindness, fairness, sharp wit and
eye for detail.
“Safe journey, big man... you have touched
so many hearts.”
