DO YOU HAVE
A BUDDING WRITER
IN THE FAMILY?
Know a friend who wants professional credit for using ink? Andalusian
Magazine seeks new and established contributors to showcase in a full-color
production now edited by a 30+ year experienced staff of top-class professionals
who delight in introducing emerging or blooming talent.
Please send your ideas hopes, and impressions about our Andalusian hors-
es to Jeannette Barnes Lessels, IALHA Region 7 Director, who also has the priv-
ilege of chairing the Publications Committee for this year. Pieces we’re looking
for include information on trail, recreational,
and rehabilitative riding, mounted shooting,
endurance, team penning, doma vaquera,
jumping, reining, travel and adventure,
medieval games, vaquero and working
horsemanship, open competition, the hunt
field. Dressage pieces especially wel-
come! Got a fresh angle, a new venture?
Then think of us. Admiration for versatility
in these horses is our watchword—we’d
love your pictures, anecdotes and life sto-
ries of great horses you have known or are
lucky enough to have in your barn.
Go ahead, brag a little. We’re here for
you, and will be sure to help your happiness
make print.
Got cartoons? Great deeds?
Artwork? History? Funny stories?
Veterinary experiences, advice for newcom-
ers, farrier’s comments and advice, words
of wisdom to share? Please consider see-
ing your name or your farm’s in print. We
want your news, updates, ideas and opin-
ions.
We’d especially love photos and
descriptions or overview of the young stock,
stallions and mare bands who characterize
your farms. C’mon, get some publicity.
Let’s give our buyers and supporters a
great roadmap, y’all, for abilities, inheri-
tance and performance.
Got a burgeoning artist up your
sleeve, a young designer just coming into
prime? Thought of a clever saying for a T-
shirt or a coffee mug? Are you a longtime,
knowledgeable partaker of Iberian horses’
deeply-felt delights? Share with us for
immortal fame, and the chance to see your
work in print, graphics, fabric, stone, paint,
wood, metal, photographs or clay. Let’s all
bestow our creative wonders to help
American horsemen learn about, enjoy,
admire, and take to heart our Andalusian
horses.
Please contact us with particulars—if
you don’t fancy writing the articles yourself,
one of our pleasant, prompt, courteous edi-
tors or writers will gladly contact you; phone
and e-mail interviews are welcome. The
more, the merrier, so be sure to tell your
friends. We’re making this a banner year
for our magazine—and our horses.
Welcome. ¡Bienvenidos, amigos!
Please contact Jeannette Barnes Lessels,
JB to her friends, at lesselsj@hotmail.com

a message and clear contact number for
you or your representatives, and you’ll get a
call back ASAP. Many thanks, best wishes,
