Over the years, diversification has kept
his team busy, 12 months of the year.
Currently, they do mostly institutional
and municipal projects, but that’s just a
product of the economy. It was only a few
years ago that Reid & Deleye Contractors
were knee-deep in industrial expansion
projects.
“At the end of the day it’s a business, we
need to be able to operate, generate profits,
and keep our employees and subtrades
busy,” he said. “So a long time ago we de-
cided diversification was the way to go. To
be truly diversified, you have to gain expe-
rience in all market segments. We’re good
at water sewage treatment plants, so we can
build those. We can build bridges, we can
build schools, we can build hospitals. We
have a track record in all market segments.
We’re not shut out of any particular mar-
ket.”
Currently the company keeps busy with
roughly 50 projects a year, ranging from
$500,000 to $20 million. They have expe-
rienced growth consistently every year.
