Editorial
Welcome to the last Chronicle edition of the Rotary year and thank
you all for your contributions.
The PR and Communications committee has been given initial
responsibility for setting up the Club website. My main comments
this quarter are relating to the web site and the immediate implica-
tions for members.
The Club has purchased use of the website address
lutonchilternrotary.org
for a period of two years. For ease of setting up and updating our
website we will be using the RIBI corporate format reflecting Rotary
branding. Using this format also benefits the Rotary Foundation as
we are asked to contribute a further £50 each year.
If you do not object I shall put your details in the club members
section; to start off these will be: Christian name, Surname, home
address, home telephone number, mobile telephone number and
e-mail address if available. THIS INFORMATION WILL NOT BE
AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC PERUSAL, BEING ONLY ACCESSI-
BLE TO MEMBERS. To enable each of you to access the mem-
bers section of the site you should provide me with a Username
and a Password. What fun!!?! I suggest you let your computer
remember these two parameters. I shall be attempting to obtain
the RIBI membership number for all members as an alternative
system for username and password may be:
Membership number and Post Code.
There will be a number of members who will have access to modi-
fying and adding content to the website; I will keep you informed
when we have made some progress.
