Community and Vocational
The Seniors Outing was organised to coincide with the Woburn
Sands Band concert on Saturday 21st February. Thirty senior
citizens were transported to St Luke’s Church Hall by volunteer
drivers from our club. Tea and biscuits were provided and the
evening proved to be a very enjoyable one for all.
Stroke awareness will shortly be upon us on the Saturday 25th
April and a request for volunteer stewards to assist on the day will
be circulated on the board within the next few weeks.
RYLA will be held on the weekend of the 26th – 28th June at RAF
Henlow Camp. This event had to be cancelled last year due to the
RAF’s commitment in theatres of war. They have promised to hold
the event this year come what may. We have one candidate, Andy
Tate, who hopefully will be able to attend and have an enjoyable
weekend.
Kids Out will be held on Wednesday June 10th at Whipsnade once
again. Hopefully this year the event will be held in conjunction with
Family Welfare (Young Carers). Meetings are currently in progress
and there will be more information in due course.
Handicapped Typing Club – As always please help out where pos-
sible on Fridays when Herman issues the dates.

Eventually, the Romans conquered the Greeks. History calls
people Romans because they never stayed in one place for
very long.
