Day said. “The main reason we have
an upright bass is so I can hide my fat
ass behind it.”
Though the band’s artwork and
some of the themes of its music are
very theatrical, Day says they are
as influenced by the “bottom of the
tequila bottle” as they are by movies
and art. “We try to stay away from
anything depressing, political, and
religious or anything like that and just
do rock and roll.”
