Supreme Champions— The grand
finale of Spring Dairy Expo came on
Saturday afternoon with the naming of the
supreme champions. Each breed’s grand
champion and junior champions entered
the ring. Both Judges worked together to
select the winners.
In the open show, Indiana Veda, the
Jersey senior 3-year-old cow owned by
Williams Jerseys of McConnellsville, was
named supreme champion. Junior champi-
on was Des Chamois Princesse-ET, an
Ayrshire heifer owned by M&J Heifer
Care, Mike and Juli Hemp of Chebanse, Ill.

MS). The December 2007 heifer was
bought by Michael Strehle, Wakeman, and
Troyce Webster, Oberlin, for $12,500. The
sale averaged $3,956 on 36 live lots.
