James won the Aegon 16-and-under Winter Masters at Roehampton – a

former commonwealth games athlete Mike delaney has
been given the job as team manager for Welsh athletics
as work hits full speed preparing for a successful games
in delhi next year.
Delaney will be one of the key figures in the run up to the 2010
Commonwealth Games, while there has also been a review of the
selection criteria.
Former Welsh 400m champion Delaney has plenty of experience as team
manager for both Welsh Athletics and the Great Britain Team.
His competition experience includes being an athlete for Wales at the 1974
and 1978 Commonwealth Games, Team Manager at several competitions,
such as World Championships, European Championships and the 2000 and
2004 Olympic Games.
