Editor’s Picks
I
t’s summer time, and the fashion scene is jumping
off. Trends has been known to bring you the latest
fashions of the season and the hottest boutiques in the
area – and this issue is no different. I’ve started look-
ing around for ideas to spunk up my summer wardrobe and
came across a few items that I just had to have – starting
with the crocheted bathing suit.
Mariatu’s Creations, a new boutique on Charles Street,
boasts a wide selection of colorful crocheted bathing suits –
from one pieces to bikinis and cover ups, Mariatu’s has got
something exclusively for you. You can hit the beach this
summer and not worry about seeing your bathing suit on
some else, because you can request the colors and style to
fit your liking, free of charge. And you could always jazz
up your sexy swimwear with some of the hand made cos-
metic jewelry Maritu offers. Other crochet items are also
available at this one-of-a-kind boutique, include dresses,
halters, lingerie, and cosmetic
home accessories. Mariatu’s is
located at 2444 N. Charles St.,
Baltimore, MD, 21218 – check
out what all the fuss is about.
Next on my list is the bug-eyed shades.
Having a pair of these is more about
style than sun screening. They give you a
VIP look no matter what you’re wearing.
However, don’t go crazy getting all those
loud colors, stick with a black or brown.
Keep it classy.
Flip flops are an absolute necessity for
the summer wardrobe and are the most
versatile of all accessories. Certain styles
come in handy when you want to jazz up
an outfit without the five inch stilettos.
Then there’s the classic Old Navy flip flops
that you can stroll on the beach with or
throw on to make a run. I’ve got a pair in
almost every color, because you just never
know.
