Trucut’s latest development
One of Trucut’s latest developments has involved the introduction of the vacuum hold-down version
of the low priced Trophy computerised mount cutter. Th e fi rst of these has gone to a UK company
making military memorabilia.
Graham Ride, Trucut’s marketing director advised Picture Business thus: “One of the particular
benefi ts of vacuum hold down over clamping is that you can’t cut thin sheet materials with clamp
machines as thin sheets ruckle-up during cutting. Th at is why so many of the World’s top photographic
album makers such as Queensberry, Jorgensen and G.F Smith use Trucut machines.”
He continued: “Th is advantage is also one that can benefi t the memorabilia framer as it gives so
much more design fl exibility. Th e combination of the Trophy’s two heads and vacuum hold down
provides the best of all worlds.”
He concluded: “However, for those not needing these benefi ts the ever-popular Trophy clamp
machine is available at a signifi cantly lower price.”
