Gombi Guide
Email
I got one, allegedly from a friend, but the body of the message was
PLEEEEEEEEASE READ THIS - and there was no way that he would
ever write like that!
Size of attachments is important - no one wants to sit watching your
message download for a couple of hours! This is becoming a bit less
important now that so many people have a broadband connection, but
even so, 10 photographs at a megabyte each takes a while - you would
never get Aunt Maud to change her will in your favour if she had a dial
up connection!
That is why you save your photos as jpg format, which means they are
compressed and therefore smaller and quicker; unless your recipient
has a broadband connection and has made it known that she is
prepared to receive photos in original format [perhaps so that they can
be enlarged or edited], stick to jpg and less than 1Mb total size of
message, preferably less than 500Kb.
