Rebeca Gurdian
In the almost five years since moving to Canada from Costa Rica, Rebeca Gurdian has proven herself
as a worthy volunteer in the community and the Hispanic Church. As part of the Selah Singers, this
Grade 12 student has taken her singing to a new level by volunteering on the Hispanic Church of
Medicine Hat Worship team and participating in the annual Worship in the Park.
Beyond singing, for the previous three years, Rebeca has helped teach Spanish at her church and
various schools.
With a humble and down-to-earth personality, this 17-year-old
has a heart of gold and a strong determination to be a great

Amanda Cullihall
Amanda has been with the 2313 South Alberta Light Horse Royal Canadian Army Cadets (Kiwanis)
for five years now. During her time here, she has really become an outstanding cadet, as well as an
upstanding member of her community through all of her volunteer work with the Cadets. Amanda
has volunteered for Flag parties for the Medicine Hat Optimist Club, bottle drives, civic duties, and
responsibilities, all while maintaining a positive image of not only herself, but of the program that she
is affiliated with. Amanda is also a dedicated student, who takes pride in everything that she does. That
is why we believe that Amanda is a Leader of Tomorrow.
