E-mail Communications

Bishop’s blog
The Bishop’s blog is posted on the Five Practices website, and e-mail notices will be sent out
through the Conference and Five Practices websites. In addition to the Five Practices website, you
can sign up to receive the Bishop’s blog at www.moumethodist.org/stayconnected.

Net News
Net News is an e-mail communication from the Conference sent out to about 1,350 people who
have signed up to receive it. It is sent on an as-needed basis, typically several times per week. We
accept announcements, church/conference/UM related job openings, news about events that require
quicker response than what is compatible with the other publications deadlines. Information should
be directly related and of interest to the entire conference.

Messages for Net News should be submitted in complete sentences, with a maximum length of 100
words. Net News does not repeat content and does not accept forwarded news items. Links to Web
sites can be included in Net News publications.

• The latest edition of Net News can be found online at www.moumethodist.org/netnews and
all issues are archived in the Conference Publication Archive at
www.moumethodist.org/archive.

Shared Prayers
Shared Prayers is an e-mail communication from the Conference sent out to people who have
signed up to receive it. It is sent on an as-needed basis, typically several times per week. We accept
prayer requests such as birth, death and illness notices for Missouri Conference clergy and their
families.

Stay Connected
To sign up to receive e-communications from the Conference Center please go to the
www.moumethodist.org/stayconnected page. Choose the e-mails you wish to receive, fill in your
information, enter the security code and click the "Submit" button.
