The largest and longest running summer school of Irish traditional music.
Graded classes on the following instruments: • Uilleann Pipes (18), Flute (18), Whistle (18), Fiddle
(30), Concertina(12), Button Accordion (8), Banjo (8), Harmonica(2), Harp (6). • Only the piping
classes accept absolute beginners. Piping students must pre-register. • Dance: 10 dance work-
shops, including Conamara Sean-Nós, Old Style Step-Dancing,Two-Hand Dances, and a variety
of Set-Dances; for beginners, intermediate and advanced. • Dúchas an Cheoil/The Scope of Irish
Music: a comprehensive introduction to the heritage of Irish traditional music. • Traditional
Song: seminars and demonstrations on traditional songs and singing in Irish and English.
• Lectures and seminars on aspects of the musical heritage. • Recitals and demonstrations by
world renowned performers in traditional music, song and dance. • The concluding concert:
recognised worldwide as a unique experience of local, national, and international talent.
• Conversational classes in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. Free admission to classes.
The fee of 140 (euro) / £130 (sterling) / $250(US) includes tuition,
