pick your nose!
The UK is once again gearing up for Comic Relief (Fri 13
March), and this year Welsh comedy is heading the line-
up. Hilarious Gavin & Stacey stars Rob Brydon and
Ruth Jones are ‘doing something funny for money’ in
the shape of a collaboration with Tom Jones for the
offi cial 2009 single, their interpretative (Barry)
Islands In The Stream. Welsh presenter Steve
Jones is also on board with the campaign as well
as comedian Chris Corcoran who will be turning
the Aberystwyth’s National Library of Wales red on
Red Nose Day itself. People are encouraged to think
up anything amusing to raise some cash for worthy
causes across the UK and Africa, from a real challenge
of a life time to the classic beans in a bath routine. Since
it began in 1985, Comic Relief has raised millions of pounds
for disadvantaged people in Wales, developing schemes to help
those affected by issues such as mental health, drugs and
care-dependence. There are three red noses to choose from at
just £1 each, complete with a joke book, so getting picking at
