Solar squaring saw increases
production, lowers costs
Diamond Wire Technology’s new SQ-300
solar squaring saw is the highest producing
squaring saw with the lowest kerf on the
market. The SQ-300 cuts eight ingots in
a two-step process with a kerf of only 300
micron. Customers are achieving lower cut-
ting costs combined with material savings
at a rate they have never seen before.
The SQ-300 is robust enough for all
day operations and is simple to run with a
straightforward operator interface. Load-
ing and unloading is simple and requires
minimal gluing. Preparation time is also
significantly reduced.

complete kits available that include the tip
and vacuum handle.
Tip prices start at US $64.10.

Oerlikon Solar’s “Amorph High
Performance” hits the market
Oerlikon Solar, manufacturer of thin film
silicon solar equipment and modules,
announced the availability of its next
generation technology “Amorph High
Performance.” With more than 500,000
panels already produced from the “Amorph
Basic” technology, Oerlikon Solar has
now made a major leap forward in panel
performance. Achieving more than 7%
stabilized efficiency has enabled a 16%
