variety of songs for the students, including an original composition, Doehr ing talked about the songwriting process. She also showed the students her webpage (
www.brittdoehring.com) where she has a calendar of appearances and samples of her latest album “Emerge,” which can also be found on iTunes. Doehring is presently attending
Point Loma Nazarene University where she is studying music. She will be appearing at the Aquaterra Restaurant at Pala Mesa Resort on Jan. 20 and 21. The music program at Potter
Junior High School is under the direction of Phil Leonelli.

Hughes makes Dean’s List RALEIGH, NC – Sarah Hughes,
a resident of Fallbrook, was among 242 students from William Peace
University who made the fall semester Dean’s List. To earn this distinction, a student must
maintain at least a 3.3 average in all courses. William Peace University is a
four-year baccalaureate liberal arts and science college located in North Carolina’s capital city. Peace’s educational program is consistently ranked in the top 10 percent in several categories of the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

Martinez had all originally pleaded not guilty to murder in the case, but Lopez, Ordonez and Martinez all eventually entered a change of plea from not guilty to murder to a plea of guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Vista Superior Court at various times in 2011. In September, it had been determined that Lopez personally killed Mose with the use of a knife because of his race and for the benefit of the criminal street gang Lopez was affiliated with. It was stipulated that Ordonez’ involvement occurred because of the “sudden quarrel.”
