Community Center continues to offer its popular dog obedience class, which provides pet owners with more than just basics tools to train— it can help turn a four-legged friend into a well- mannered family member. Dogs will learn to be socialized,


listen to basic commands such as sit, heel, stay and lay down; while pet owners will learn to develop their leadership skills. Cl a s s e s wi l l be t aught


by personal dog trainer Rick Williams. Williams has more than 15 years experience training canines to become pet-therapy, search and rescue, and companion dogs. To participate, dogs must be


four months of age or older and owners 12 years and older. The next session begins Sat., Jan. at 9 a.m., which will be an orientation for the pet owners. Pets are asked to stay home during orientation. Participants are to bring proof

Gang members, on the other hand, don’t care.” Heyneman hopes that the community will be more vigilant in helping track graffiti artists. “We realize that maybe this is


a good time to bring attention to the problem,” said Heyneman. “People who are concerned about seeing graffiti all over town have a reason to awaken. When they see someone with a can of spray paint, they should not drive by and let it happen.”
