Horses 4Heroes launches new show in San Marcos

AN MARCOS—Horse 4Heroes, a non-profi t eff ort launched in 2006 nationwide, along with Rockin' L&D
Equine Education Services in Escondido, launched a new event. Horse 4Heroes
provides aff ord- able recreational, instructional and health and wellness eques- trian programs and activities for active duty military person- nel, veterans and Wounded Warriors, fi rst responders, criti- cal care and hospice nurses, special education teaches, and their families. T e organization was spawned after the tragic events of 9/11. To become a member, volunteer, donor or

Classic Horse Show May 12—Mother's Day—in Chino Hills. T e action- fi lled weekend included a Saturday clinic on cattle basics with Chris Delmar, and a Sunday line-up that included Western Dressage Level 1 and 2 events as well as Trail Obstacle and Cowhand 101 classes for Youth, Amateur, Legends and Open divisions. Peggy Sanches judged Western Dressage, and Judy Wright judged the trail. Jim Alderson was the
“cowhand 101” judge. T e Cowboy Up Events are led by Kelly Baker (inset).
