someone’s day can show their Co-op Connections card at TK Flowers in Boise City to receive a 10 percent discount.


“Mom started arranging silk fl owers for family graves more than 20 years ago,” Brenda Kell said. Her mother is TK Flowers owner Laynette Terry.


Kell said, “Word spread and people started asking mom to make memorial wreaths for them. T at turned into Christmas wreaths then wedding arrangements. She decided to start off ering fresh fl owers in addition to silk last year when she opened TK Flowers.”

T e fl ower shop is located within the Beauty Nook at 302 SE 6th Street in Boise City. Terry has owned the beauty salon about 40 years. Both businesses are family owned and operated. In addition to the help Kell provides her mother, Kell’s own two daughters help as well.


“We like to make people smile,” Kell said. “Delivering what our customers want is important too. We personalize fl oral arrangements to the recipient when we know who it is.”


TK Flowers is a member of two international fl oral wire service providers, FTD and Bloomnet. T is allows them to arrange for fl oral delivery nationwide.


Flowers are always fresh at TK Flowers since they receive regular wholesale shipments and sometimes pick up special items in Amarillo, Texas.


“We’ve probably provided silk or fresh fl owers for 150 weddings or more,” Kell said. “No matter what the occasion calls for, we can help make it special.”
