$33,243 Kiwash Electric Total Expenses


Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC) is the wholesale power supplier for Kiwash Electric Cooperative. Kiwash Electric has an all-requirements contract with WFEC that extends to the year 2050.They are required to supply all power needed by Kiwash members.WFEC was formed in 1941 as a generating and transmission cooperative (G&T) to supply the needs of 23 other electric distribution cooperatives such as Kiwash Electric. In 2013, Kiwash Electric purchased 274,497,660 kwh from Western Farmers at a cost of $14,020,201.31. Today, 71 cents of every dollar you spend for power from Kiwash Electric is paid directly to WFEC for the cost of wholesale power.
