SHOW SCENE

Second and third lactation cows were combined into one class and winning handily was our champion with the ‘welded-on udder’ Neatishall Decker Rosina. Following in second was the beautiful dairy framed Helton Goldwyn Clarisa from Joseph Heler Farms. Heading the final class of the day was the super stylish Castellhyfryd Spirte Rosina, she had the advantage over powerhouse Cramar Affirmed A Cutes for her width and height of udder.

Making their five hour plus journey worthwhile, Westwood Farm’s Panda Lexander Fools Gold Red picked up the Best Red & White animal. This great heifer is unique, being a red Alexander from the Canadian variant red gene carrier, Stoneden Fools Gold Red VG8-3yr.

Congratulations to all exhibitors for ensuring our breed had a high quality presence at the show and thank you to our judge Hugh Neilson for making the long journey down from Lanarkshire to assess some tricky classes. With great facilities and increasing interest from Holstein exhibitors, I am sure that this show will go from strength to strength.

Peachy Ava Tyrol, 2nd
