FASSET CELEBRATES GOLD


ROSPA AWARD Fasset Ltd are celebrating as they have once again been awarded the RoSPA GOLD Award for Occupational Health and Safety. The RoSPA accolade recognises the commitment, expertise and investment made in the business’ health and safety culture. They have maintained their certification to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 for four years and are about to introduce a programme of certified training courses covering a variety of subjects.


The RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK, recognising a commitment to accident and ill health prevention. The scheme not only looks at accident records, but also entrants’

overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.


The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2014 will be presented to Fasset’s Senior Health and Safety Advisor, Adrian Slater, at a ceremony in May.


AND CONTRACTS Bob Taylor joins OCS Bob Taylor, previously Managing Director of the FM and medical services business at G4S, has joined OCS as MD for its infrastructure and healthcare division. Bob was with G4S for over 12 years and has worked across the central government, healthcare, education and commercial sectors.


Eurotunnel Renews With Mitie Mitie has been awarded a contract extension with Groupe Eurotunnel SA, for a total value of £12million. The company manages and operates the Channel Tunnel between Britain and France, and will continue to work with Mitie over the next three years.


Nviro Goes To Specsavers Nviro has secured the contract to clean the Hampshire-based training and support offices of Specsavers, one of Britain’s most popular high street brands. The contract will initially run for one year, but is expected to continue beyond 2015.

Servest Secures Crossrail Servest Group has been chosen by Balfour Beatty as the security partner for the Plumstead to Abbeywood joint Network Rail and Crossrail project. The two-year project will see Servest Security provide unique mobile CCTV solutions, manned guarding, and mobile patrols to provide security coverage to the two-mile route in south-east London.


Welsh Gov Retains VINCI VINCI Facilities has extended its deal with the Welsh Government for another year. VINCI Facilities’ relationship with the Welsh Government began in 2009 when it was contracted to provide a three-year, integrated FM service to a new building in Aberystwyth. The new contract arrangement builds on a previous extension in 2013.
