Leading Scottish Sports And Leisure Venues Go Green

With Bay West Leading sports and leisure venues across Scotland are reaping the benefi ts of ‘going green’ after installing Disposables UK’s Bay West systems in their washrooms via distributor, Wilson Washrooms. Venues including The SSE Hydro and The Clyde Auditorium (also known as The Armadillo) at the Scottish Conference and Exhibition Centre (SECC) in Glasgow, Murrayfi eld Stadium in Edinburgh and Rangers Football Club, are all benefi ting from waste reduction and cost savings through the EU Eco Label accredited systems.

With high visitor traffi c on a regular basis, these venues need washroom facilities that can meet these levels of demand, whilst also reducing waste, mess and cost. After being introduced to Disposables UK’s Bay West range by its distributor, Wilson Washrooms installed the range into the washrooms and changing rooms at Rangers Football Club. Impressed by the brand’s green credentials and associated cost-savings, Wilson Washrooms have since gone on to install Bay West in numerous other leading venues in Scotland, including the SECC in Glasgow and Murrayfi eld Stadium in Edinburgh.

The chosen range of washroom products had to be sustainable, high quality and, crucially, have the ability to cope with high levels of visitors. Therefore, the Bay West Revolution™ and Bay West Optiserv™Hands- Free systems were selected due

to their waste reduction and high- capacity qualities. Disposables UK was also able to provide an added extra personal touch at Rangers Football Club, supplying the Bay West dispensers in the team colours, complete with logo.

Unique Properties Bay West Revolution™ is a high- capacity three-roll toilet tissue dispenser, which features a carousel mechanism designed to deliver a continuous supply. The system reduces waste and manpower, but the toilet rolls are also kept locked and protected, making them secure and hygienic.

Bay West Optiserv™ Hands-Free is a controlled usage dispenser, which delivers pre-measured paper towels, reducing over-use and waste. The high-capacity dispenser is completely hands-free and the user has limited contact with anything other than their towel. Optiserv™ Hands-Free is not only ideal for sporting and leisure venues, but also for offi ces and other high traffi c environments in industry and manufacturing markets.

These venues are already benefi ting from the Bay West systems, with noticeable waste reduction and positive customer feedback; the installation of Bay West has resulted in a cost saving of 30% across the three venues to date, but their green credentials are just as impressive. market to be awarded EU recognised certifi cation, and Bay West was the fi rst brand to provide a range of environmentally-preferred washroom products. Having attained the prestigious Ecolabel accreditation, many Bay West Products can now offi cially be credited as ‘green washroom’ products.

The Outcome The success of the Bay West products, which tick all the boxes on cost saving, green cleaning and waste reduction, has resulted in high levels of customer satisfaction. Ian Hart of Wilson Washrooms, said: “We have been working with Disposables for eight years and we know the Bay West range well, which is why we suggest it to our vast client portfolio. It’s cost saving and waste reduction qualities stand it in good stead, and we hope to introduce it to many more customers in the future.”

Emma Wood, Marketing Manager at Disposables UK, said: “We are delighted that our Bay West products are in such demand by leading leisure venues such as Rangers Football Club and The SECC. The Bay West brand is used already by numerous other sporting and leisure venues throughout the country, and we are thrilled to be expanding in Scotland.”
