intuitive user in- terface and simple input screens for programming of workpiece and cutting tool data. Those features, combined with ease of setup, a .NET control system, and move- ment optimization,

reduce the cycle times required for the complete inspection of almost any gear or gear tool. The system also features a Renishaw 3D probe head for the complete inspection of all kinds of gears and gear-cutting tools and, in particular, fi ner pitch gears. Gleason Corp. Three new inserts grades GC4325, GC4315, and GC3330 now feature Inveio’s unidirectional crystal orientation for endurance, predictability, and long tool life. Inveio represents a technical breakthrough in CVD alumina coating in which crystals are lined up in the same direction to create a stronger, uniform structure in coating. The tightly packed crys- tals create a strong barrier toward the cutting zone and chip.

The resulting grades offer outstanding wear resistance. Cut- ting edges stay in shape and last longer in the cut, especially important in untended production with high metal removal rates. GC4325 is the fi rst choice grade for steel turning. When GC4325 reaches a limit in metal removal rate due to high speed and long time in cut, GC4315 withstands the high cut- ting temperatures that occur. GC3330 is the fi rst choice grade for milling in cast iron materials. Sandvik Coromant Ph: 201-794-5000 Web site: www.sandvik.coromant.com
