PGA Membership Director Greg Raleigh (Somersett CC) received the Horton Smith Award for outstand- ing contributions to professional education. PGA Professional Mike Dowd (Oakdale GCC) received the Bill Straus- baugh Award for leadership, mentoring and charitable involvement. PGA Assis- tant Professional Joe Dolby (Palo Alto Hills GCC) garnered the Assistant Ap- prentice Award for serving as a leader and role model. Pat Finlen of The Olympic Club is the recipient of the inaugural Golf Course Superintendent of the Year Award for his expertise in the maintenance, operations, and management of golf courses, and his lead- ership contributions within the NCPGA Section.
