Anniversary 75 years of service to YOU

ortheast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative will commemo- rate its 75th anniversary this month with a blowout annual meeting celebration. T e special “Diamond Anniversary

REC Day” will take place Saturday, September 21, at the Civic Cen- ter in Grove. Fittingly, the cooperative will present one of its members with

a one-carat diamond during the prize drawings held that day. An- other lucky NEOEC member will leave the meeting the proud, new owner of a 2007 Ford truck, the event’s grand prize. Members may register between 8 a.m. and noon. A brief busi-

ness meeting will follow at 12:15 p.m. during which time the results from the trustee election will be announced. Prize drawings will follow immediately thereaſt er. “Celebrating 75 years of service here in northeast Oklaho-

ma is something we consider very special,” said NEOEC General Manager Anthony Due. “We want to extend an invitation to our membership, young and old, to join us in Grove and be part of this landmark occasion.” Special indeed. How oſt en does your utility company give

away a truck and a diamond? Of course, these are but a few of the incentives that await members during the 2013 annual meeting. Members who register qualify themselves for numerous prize

drawings. T ey can win fl at screen televisions, a washer/dryer set, and much more. Five children will win new laptop computers. And let’s not forget about over $6,000 in electric credits that will be awarded to members from the each of the cooperative’s nine districts.

Once registered, members need not be present to win most

prizes. However, you’ll need to stick around to qualify for the two biggest prizes: the diamond and the truck. Names of winners will be announced at the meeting. If you are one of the lucky winners and aren’t present to claim your prize, the co-op will contact you and let you know within a few days. REC has food and entertainment covered, too. Doughnuts and

coff ee will greet morning arrivals at the civic center. As lunchtime approaches, hot dogs will be grilled up and served with soda, chips and all the fi xings. T e civic center stage will be rockin’ with the sounds of musi- cal legend Tommy Allsup and his band, T e Coin Tossers. A couple
