The annual meeting of the members of Southwest Rural Electric Association, Inc., will be held in the WOSC Fine Arts Auditorium, Altus, Oklahoma, on Thurs- day, August 8, 2013.


Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m. and conclude at 6:55 p.m. The business meeting will be called to order at 7:00 p.m. to take action on the following matters:


and committees;

District Meetings Set for September 3


SWRE members who receive


electric service in Districts 1, 4, and 7 will hold district meetings on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the following locations: District 1, 9:30 a.m., Senior


Citizens Center, Roosevelt. Don Ellis represents District 1 members on the SWRE Board.


District 4, 11:30 a.m., Great


Plains Technology Center east of Frederick. Ray Walker is the District 4 board member.


District 7, 6:00 p.m., Northside


School nor th of Vernon, Ag classroom. Dan White represents District 7 members.

SWRE Annual Meeting August 8, 2013


WOSC Fine Arts Auditorium in Altus, OK


Southwest Rural Electric Association will hold its 76th Annual Meeting on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Fine Arts Auditorium of Western Oklahoma State College, 2801 North Main, Altus. All SWRE customer-members are encouraged to attend.


Annual Meeting Schedule Registration and a health


fair will begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue through 6:55 p.m. The Double Take Cloggers will perform from 6:00-6:45 p.m. The SWRE business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Prize drawings will follow the business meeting. Because SWRE is a cooperative, its


customers are also its members and are therefore encouraged each year to attend the annual meeting and take an active part in the democratic process of running their business enterprise.


Door Prizes Door pr izes wi l l be given to


each member at regist rat ion. During the annual prize drawing


after the business meeting, prizes will be awarded to members from each of SWRE’s nine dist r icts. The prizes will include many great


items, including energy certificates that can be applied toward SWRE ut i l i ty bi l ls. Grand prize wi l l be a $500 SWRE energy certificate.


Health Fair A health fair at the meeting will


be sponsored by Jackson County Memorial Hospital. The health fair will feature stations for checking blood pressure and other health readings, in addition to information from numerous

agencies and vendors. The health fair exhibits will open at 4:00 p.m.


Entertainment Enter tainment at the event


wil l begin at 6:00 p.m. and wil l feature the Double Take Cloggers. Double Take is a girls clogging


group that performs often in the Altus community. They have participated in a variety of competitions, placing at the top. SWRE members are sure to enjoy their distinctive clogging routines.


Business Meeting The SWRE business session will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
