BLAST OFF!

The smallest abrasive machine in the range, The Preparation Group has re-engineered its 110v PPC215 Shotblaster.

Ideal for working on small areas, yet capable of producing up to 25m2 per hour on power floated concrete, the new model of The Preparartion Group’s Shotblaster offers an enhanced performance in terms of the surface profile and uniformity of finish achieved.

The new PPC215 features an easy access hopper with sieve and an improved reclaim system which produces greater separation of the dust from

usable shot, providing higher performance rates when cleaning and texturing concrete, steel, asphalt, stone and tiled surfaces.

“The new model offers an enhanced performance in terms of the surface profile and uniformity of finish achieved.”

The method of operation has also been improved; there are no complex

switches, levers or speed controls - a simple lever action releases the abrasive onto the rotating wheel for optimum operator control. The machine is portable and has double front wheels for easy maneuverability on site.

It is also low vibration, allowing the operator to use it comfortably for up to seven hours, and the simplistic design ensures minimal maintenance and operator training. Designed to be used with a vacuum unit, the machine achieves a dust-free, environmentally friendly operation.

Tracey Glew, Group Managing Director, commented: “The new PPC215 model is assembled in our workshop from locally sourced components and is durable and highly efficient. Our Contracting division has found it to be invaluable on site, particularly for removing coatings and laitance on new concrete in confined spaces. We also offer a

When to use: You can use shotblasting on any hard composition surface that does not exhibit multiple layers of materials or contaminants. It is ideal for horizontal and slightly inclined surfaces to:

• Texture and clean concrete, asphalt or tiled surfaces

• Remove paints and sealants

• Create adhesion for the application of a wide range of surface finishes

• Key bridge decks and roads for surface dressing and waterproof systems

• Prepare steel (Commercial and Swedish Standard SA2 ½)
