Rapiscan Systems, a leading global supplier of security inspection systems, has announced that it has been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen for Security Screening Equipment and Services. The warrant serves as recognition of the highest standards of service, quality and excellence from Rapiscan Systems as sole provider of security inspection systems to Royal Households until December 2017. The granting of a Royal Warrant signifies an ongoing trading relationship with the Royal Households of HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales. be subjected to current available screening methods. Air samples are collected from freight using special filters which are then presented to the trained dogs in a safe and controlled analysis screening station for the identification of the presence of the target scents.


ARINC Integrates Airport Security Solution in Qatar


The selection of ARINC EMEA as leader of the consortium to design and build the New Doha International Airport (NDIA) has reinforced the company’s position as the provider of choice in the Middle East for integrated airport security solutions. The contract for the 40 sq.km site covers more than 100 buildings which will have the capacity to cater for an annual 45 million passengers. “ARINC was chosen to lead the NDIA project consortium because of its clear understanding of the project environment, solution design, and proven delivery of enterprise level integrated system solutions which include multiple security systems and a number of command and control rooms,” commented Stephen Horner, Business Development Director, Security Solutions.


L-3 has announced that three of its air cargo systems have been added to the Transport Canada Air Cargo Security Qualified Equipment & Services List. L-3’s PX™ 10.10-MV, PX™ 15.17-MV 200 and ACX® 6.4-MV dual-view systems.


The company has also announced that its ProVision® Automatic Target Detection (ATD) checkpoint security scanner has met European standards for security scanners following testing under the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) Common Evaluation Process (CEP). The ProVision ATD is an
