GIANTS IN SCREENING
In this year's Special Feature, we have invited the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to explain the progress made on the Checkpoint of the Future project. The programme has been championed by the organisation for two years now and, with much international support from other aviation organisations and individual States, it is fast moving from concept to operational trial. The Checkpoint of the Future aims to deploy common sense to the screening process, allow for differentiation in the processes passengers will pass through and, equally importantly, improve facilitation.
