The laser manufacturer Z-Laser will show its laser modules ZM18 and ZM12 with a compact thread housing in size M18 and M12. They are designed
its partners LMC and Yamaju Ceramics to exhibit their joint capabilities in a range of laser and optoelectronic crystal products. As a supplier of Nd and Cr doped laser materials, Roditi will join LMC to present a range of solid-state laser crystals used in medical, research and materials-processing laser systems worldwide. Additionally, Roditi’s expertise in optoelectronic crystal materials, including lithium niobate and tantalate, quartz and sapphire wafers, is complimented by Yamaju Ceramics’ contribution to oxide materials.

Sill Optics will exhibit its S4LFT4010. All optical elements of this lens are made of high-grade fused silica to minimise the thermal lens effect. Moreover, this laser lens has no internal ghosts, so damages caused by internal back reflection are avoided. The almost telecentric F-theta is designed for a scan field of 35 x 35mm and has an maximal angle of incidence of 1.4°. With an input beam diameter of 10mm and a focal length of 100mm, a spot size of four microns over the complete scan field is implemented.

Trumpf will be unveiling several innovations at Photonics West. On display will be two units from the field of diode lasers, the TruDiode 151 and the TruDiode 301. These two new units, generating 150 and 300W, can be used for non-metallic applications, one example being welding plastics. But they are also suitable for selective soldering and for welding thin-gauge sheet metal.
