Taj Hotels & Resorts picked up the award for hotel of the year in the Indian Sub-Continent. The group opened two new Vivanta by Taj prop- erties in South West India in the past year. The Vivanta by Taj – Bekal opened in Kerala this February and Vivanta by Taj – Madikeri, Coorg opened in November. Coming soon will be the Taj Palace Marrakech as well as a further Vivanta by Taj in Gurgaon, New Delhi.

BANGKOK AIRWAYS
Bangkok Airways recently launched a new Premier Class product on selected routes. The Thai airline has offered the service on its Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur (via Samui) route since October 28 and on its Bangkok to Phnom Penh route from December 1. The new product offers two seats on each side of a 3-3 confi guration, leaving an empty middle seat for comfort. Passengers also enjoy an in-fl ight menu and privileges such as a separate check-in counter, 30kg baggage allowance, priority
baggage and up to 40 Flyer Bonus points.
