Vicwest and All Weather Insulated Panels’ new manufacturing facility, launches new website

Vicwest Building Products, a division of Vicwest Inc., Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and All Weather Insulated Panels, Vacaville, Calif., jointly announced that their newly operational insulated metal panel manufacturing facility near Little Rock, Ark., will begin production in late October 2012. All Weather and Vicwest are two pro-

ducers of insulated metal panels (IMP) for industrial, commercial and cold storage ap- plications. The two companies combined their IMP operations in 2010 and the addition of this new 80,000-square-foot facility to the existing manufacturing operations in Vacaville, Calif., and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, brings the com- bined production capabilities to approximately 30 million square feet annually. All three facili- ties feature identical PUMA SpA production lines, a leader in the design and manufacture of urethane continuous line equipment. The combination of the three strategically lo-

cated facilities greatly enhances the IMP group’s ability to deliver effectively to customers in the cold storage and industrial/commercial markets throughout North America. The current IMP product line now includes seven wall panel and five roof panel types to fit almost any cladding requirement. All plants stock a complete line of related accessories and maintain dedicated trim shops to ensure coordinated delivery of all required parts to support efficient installation schedules for our customers. Other services include design calculations, shop/erection draw- ings, material bills and certified installer training. “Getting the Little Rock facility into pro-

duction is an important step in solidifying our geographic coverage and expanding our market presence in all major segments of the construc- tion industry throughout North America,” says Bill Lowery, president of All Weather. “This third

operation caps an exciting evolution for us. In just 22 months, we have gone from two separate companies operating independently with different products to a single entity with a single focus that rivals other major players in the market.” “The opening of the Little Rock plant will

give us better access to strategic customer ser- vice opportunities that were previously unreach- able with just two plants,” adds Paul Lobb, presi- dent of Vicwest. “This state-of-the-art facility and its dedicated technical team make us a truly North American-wide operation and confirm our on-going commitment to producing the highest quality insulated panels in the market.” All Weather Insulated Panels and Vicwest

also announced the launch of a new combined website showcasing the depth of their North American product portfolio. The new site replaces the previous All Weather Insulated Panels site and is accessible via awipanels.com or vicwestpanels.com. Users of the new site can view the full

range of products along with a vast array of technical documentation associated with each product, including details, specifications and load span tables. An interactive “Find a Sales Rep” feature also puts users one step closer to personal assistance with their projects. Quick links to interrelated product, technical and resource information can be found throughout the site to minimize the paths and time spent in searching for information. Features to be added include a “Member

Center” that includes secure access to specific technical documents such as CAD files and testing reports as well as product enhancement announcements, new specifications and com- pany developments. A French language site will also be launched in the near future.

Governor Mike Beebe, U.S. Congressman Mike Ross, Firestone senior management and Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver took part in the event. The company also cel- ebrated 1 million hours worked without a lost-time accident. “Firestone’s decision to stay and expand in Prescott

adds: “Two years ago, Firestone celebrated 40 years of operations at the Prescott facility and involvement with the local community. Since 1984, quality EPDM roofing mate- rial has been manufactured in Prescott, the largest EPDM manufacturing plant in the world. With the expansion proj- ect and the investment we have made in equipment refine- ments and additions, Firestone is well positioned to supply our customers with superior roofing products for their future construction needs.” “Congratulations to all of the Prescott teammates for
