SHOW PREVIEW: INFOCOMM MEA
Groundbreaking OS and GUI Design Platform to Manage the Building; and Crestron Introduces the Next Generation Building Management Products and Solutions.
“It's an interesting show for people who do not get the chance to go to ISE in Amsterdam. They can see our complete solution ‘in action,’” states Vincent Philippo, regional director, Crestron. Albiral was also present at
last year’s exhibition. CEO Henrik Holm comments: “Last year’s show was very busy and we had many visitors. The market seemed dynamic with a lot of projects going on in the area. We had a positive impression so we decided to repeat the experience.” This year the company is taking its Dynamic1 Twin, a retractable double face monitor, and Dynamic 3, the company’s new swivel table- integrated monitor, with the hope of discussing custom projects with system integrators working in meeting, board, conference and institutional rooms. d&b audiotechnik will set

regional distributor, Lightbox Professional. “We decided to participate
for a second time as the Gulf market has great potential in the install and integration segment,” says Thomas Hedrick, regional sales manager, d&b audiotechnik. “In 2012 we will exhibit with a clearer focus on the integration of d&b products,
our remote control software and system design software. We expect to achieve a higher brand awareness of d&b in the Gulf market.” Mitsubishi will be showing its 70in MDT701S and 55in MDT552S public display monitors for the first time in EMEA. Both are said to be equally at home in digital signage applications or in
more discerning high-end uses such as conference suites and corporate facilities. The narrow-bezel, slimline edge-lit LED displays combine high image quality, ease of use and low cost of ownership. Both displays are Crestron Connected devices, enabling them to be easily integrated into existing systems and managed via PC, iOS or Android devices using Crestron’s RoomView Express or Fusion RV platforms. After visiting the show in
2011, Vogel’s is returning to exhibit this year. Wim Arts, marketing manager at Vogel’s, comments: “Not everyone is able to visit the ISE show in Amsterdam for all kinds of reasons, and Vogel’s decided to participate in the local InfoComm show. In the past Vogel’s participated in the local Palme-Install show, so the ME area is already an existing market. Although InfoComm MEA is not the size of ISE yet, the combination with GITEX makes it attractive for customers to visit.” Barco makes the transition
from GITEX Technology Week – where it held an exhibition stand for some years – to InfoComm MEA for
the first time. The company feels the new direction in the region better matches its business position and target market.
“During the show we will –
together with some partners – give a taste of how the control room of the future will look. In firm co-operation with our partners, we have advanced solutions for networked control room applications to the benefit of our customers, raising operational efficiency and control and supervision capability,” comments Eric Brouwers, regional manager Middle East and Africa, Barco. Elsewhere at the show, Dataton, which has experienced success in the region with its WATCHOUT image and display software, will introduce new system features to attendees. Fredrik Svahnberg, marketing director, Dataton, says: “The Middle East has typically been a region that uses WATCHOUT in new and exciting ways, and we hope to highlight just a few of the new features of WATCHOUT during InfoComm MEA 2012.”
