Synchronised Signs


One of the most modern sports gear stores in the world improves its retail experience with the help of BrightSign.


Here at A1 Retail we like to keep ahead of the curve, so we like to focus on only the newest projects. However, when this project hit our desks in July, we were so impressed by the scale of it that we couldn’t resist slipping it into this month’s project section! Intersport Eybl is one of the biggest


retailers of sports goods in Austria, and the brand wanted to create a jaw­dropping


attract customers into store from the exterior, and to engage with customers within. Lackner Mediasystems were commissioned to create four video walls for the store, with one being located in the middle of the entrance area, consisting of four x four 46­inch displays, which is the main visual highlight. Each of the 28 screens used to create this display is controlled by BrightSign HD210 digital display controllers, which allow the screens to play Full HD content through individual displays in each wall. This is synchronised via the BrightSign’s Ethernet connection.


Because all of the displays are


aesthetic design with their latest flagship store, Eybl World Store Vösendorf in Vienna, Austria, which opened this January. Intersport Eybl wanted their new flagship to exude a sense of modernity, with the exterior being modelled on the futuristic Olympic Stadium in Beijing. To meet the same innovative design requirements, multimedia displays were invested in to

controlled by the Internet, store managers can easily make updates to suit seasonal or promotional changes without any extensive IT or graphics training. The HD210 Networked Looping Model allows for excellent video and image playback performance, with Full HD 1080p video playback, looping media for the creation of simple playlists through


software named BrightAuthor, which comes included. Should users need help with the controllers or encounter a problem, they have no need to worry. BrightSign are able to offer service and diagnostic reports as the players can be automatically accessed and controlled remotely. "We believe BrightSign has a successful future in the growing signage market, which is why we decided to standardise on it, and recommend BrightSign rather than any other media player,” explains CEO of Lackner Mediasystems, Udo Lackner. The signs transform the store into an engaging experience so that customers will feel more inclined to spend time in store.
