A CLOSER LOOK

Leadership, Strategy & Culture

We help leadership teams identify and manage key risks and we facilitate cultural change, creating environments for engagement and improved productivity. Our experience includes:

Strategic review of airline ground operations ƒƒ A continuous improvement programme in OHS performance for a leading international airline led to a strategic review of their ground operations. We considered the nature of an ageing and low turnover workforce, the high level of repetitive manual work, the reporting of complex injuries, and industry benchmarking, all set against capital constraints and the cost-benefit returns of the current systems. Our review helped the client identify improvements.

Safety culture training for mining giant ƒƒ A leading mining and smelting giant, has significantly improved its site-based accident record through a long-term commitment to and investment in appropriate attitudes to safety culture. Our Swedish team has delivered a range of safety training to this company, helping all employees understand workplace risks and reduce risky behaviours.

Management Systems

These are developed and audited by our staff to local and international standards such as OSHAS18001. Our experience includes:

Implementation in waste to energy sector ƒƒ In 2012 we were commissioned by a waste to energy technology developer and manufacturer to develop and implement an integrated Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management system in line with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 following our review of their existing procedures and stakeholder consultation.

Instant access to data for Australian retailer ƒƒ For a retailing client in Australia, our digital specialists developed an online auditing tool compatible with iPads to enable OHS audit data collected during regular management system audits, to be verified and uploaded to the client’s desk instantly if required. The data can be sliced and diced to be viewed graphically and numerically at a regional level, divisional level or by BU type according to need enabling rapid identification of the key issues.
