Supporting new plants in Africa for global brewing company ƒ ƒ We provide construction H&S support for a global brewing company building new plants in several African countries. We audit the H&S practices of on site contractors and report to their management system allowing the client to focus on their objective of having an operational plant commissioned on time. During our period of appointment there has been a reduction in the trailing KPIs.


Audit for international investor in Sweden ƒƒ An international real-estate investor specifically commissioned our BAS-P and BAS-U qualified Swedish team to complete an H&S audit of contractor activities protocols and records during the fit-out of a flagship building in Stockholm. The work was completed on a rapid turnaround basis with red-flag reporting, enabling the client to quickly implement corrective actions and create a safer environment. Our main report included recommendations to ensure future compliance.

Supply chain investigation for global electronics firm ƒƒ In 2012 our staff in Shanghai undertook an incident investigation on behalf of a global electronics firm within their supply chain. The confidential work included identifying the immediate and underlying causes of the event to improve H&S safety management at the firm through rigorous risk control. Ultimately this aids both financial performance and corporate reputation.


Business continuity response to sickness ƒƒ A sudden and significant outbreak of a gastric illness impacted staff and visitors at the London HQ of a major corporate organisation. WSP managed the incident response team, working collaboratively with stakeholders to enable business continuity and a rapid return to normal operations. We used an evidence based risk approach to establish the cause of the outbreak and prevent further exposures and ensured that all decisions and activities were appropriate and proportionate.
